Preserving Park Resources since 1998

For over 25 years Preserve Historic Sleeping Bear has been an impactful partner to Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, leading efforts to preserve their unique and significant cultural heritage of 360 historic structures and landscapes listed on or eligible for the National Register of Historic Places; and provide heritage experiences for visitor enrichment. Preserve Historic Sleeping Bear is headquartered in and operates the Port Oneida Heritage Center in the Port Oneida Rural Historic District, the largest rural historic district in the nation in public ownership.
