Docents

Preserve Historic Sleeping Bear docents are friendly, outgoing individuals who love the history in the Lakeshore. They serve primarily in the Olsen House where visitors take a self-guided tour. They familiarize themselves with the history and like to answer questions, do research, and provide a fun visit. They also work during some of our events, are responsible for sale items in the store, and serve as wonderful ambassadors for what we do! We are looking for more docents so we can staff the Olsen house as much as possible. Primary need is Friday – Sunday. The time commitment is usually a 2-3 hour slot with a minimum of two times per month between June and August.
