Current ProjectsEach year Preserve Historic Sleeping Bear raises funds for preservation projects, and/or implements volunteer work projects. We work closely with Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore to prioritize our preservation projects – stabilization, rehabilitation or restoration - based upon historic value, architectural value, urgency of repair and adaptive reuse potential. All projects must meet appropriate historic standards. Existing materials are used when salvageable. Funding and workers needed for each project are listed below.
