Thoreson Farm Art
Inspiration Meets Preservation
The Glen Arbor Art Association, the National Lakeshore, and dedicated volunteers have worked to restore buildings at the Thoreson Farm in Port Oneida. The art association has a Special Use Permit with the National Lakeshore to use the outbuildings for their summer classes. This is a wonderful use for this historic property with its beautiful pastoral setting. Its grand vistas and quiet surroundings are the perfect backdrop for artistic endeavors and are invaluable to anyone seeking a bit of inspiration.
The Glen Arbor Art Association offers a rich and varied array of opportunities for all abilities – something for everyone! Their instructors have impressive credentials and extensive teaching experiences. To learn more about their programs go to www.glenarborart.org. For related programs go to our Path to Page program.
