Barn Restoration Workshop   June 19-21  9:00 am – 4:30 pm Location: Lyle Schmidt Barn, Norconk rd.,3 miles S. of Empire on M-22. JULY

Glen Arbor 4th of July Parade – walk in the parade with other PHSB members and volunteers!  Meet at noon at the Christian Science Church parking lot in Glen Arbor.  Where your PHSB shirts and bring a hammer or saw; or if you’re a docent, wear clothes resembling period clothing!

Horse and Wagon Tours

July 15 – Labor Day   Tuesdays 4:30 – 6 & 6:30 – 8 pm;  Thursdays 10:30 am – 12 & 12:30 – 2 pm
Explore Port Oneida by horse and wagon.  Hear the history of this significant late 1800s agricultural community.  Reservation only – call 231-334-6103

Friday, July 18  10 am – 12:30  Learn about the history of the Bufka Farm north of Port Oneida with Norbert Bufka. Meet at Olsen Farm.

Port Oneida Run – 5k Barn to Barn Trail Run/Walk  
Saturday, August 2nd 8:30 Kids Schoolhouse Dash; 9 am 5K Run. Run in one of the most beautiful places in Michigan and raise money for historic preservation in the National Park.

Port Oneida Rural and Cultural Fair
Friday and Saturday, August 8-9 
10:00 am – 4:00 pm  History comes to life at six historic farmsteads in Port Oneida.

Volunteer Preservation Project – North Manitou Island
August 15-24   Completing restoration of the Katie Shepard Hotel and other projects. Ferry and housing on the island provided.

The Glen Arbor Art Association offers a rich and varied array of art classes held at the historic Thoreson Farm in Port Oneida.
