Project 1 Painting the Farmhouse Interior VOLUNTEER NOW!

Last summer we had the house spot scraped, primed, and painted in preparation for the eventual installation of our interpretive exhibit. This year we’ll be painting the interior of the house. If you’re meticulous with a paint brush give us a call!

Volunteers Needed: up to 8

Supplies/Equipment Needed: secured

Directions: 3164 W. Harbor Hwy (M-22) , just west of Port Oneida Road

What to Bring: Wear your paint clothes; closed toed shoes; lunch

Project 2 Silo Chute Contractor Project

Though the barn silo at the Charles and Hattie Olsen Farm was beautifully restored by the Park around 2004, the silage chute has been hanging in the balance. In 2012 we began repair of this important aspect of how a barn functioned. Given the height issues, we’ll be contracting this project out to our experienced timber-framer.
