Preserving Park Resources since 1998

For nearly 30 years Sleeping Bear Forever, (formerly Preserve Historic Sleeping Bear) has been an impactful partner to Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, leading efforts to preserve their unique and significant cultural heritage of 360 historic structures and landscapes listed on or eligible for the National Register of Historic Places; and provide heritage experiences for visitor enrichment. Sleeping Bear Forever is headquartered in and operates the Port Oneida Heritage Center in the Port Oneida Rural Historic District, the largest rural historic district in the nation in public ownership.
